In the ever evolving threat landscape, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (ML) have become critical technologies in information security and cyber security as they have the potential to analyze millions of incidents and identify numerous types of threats including exploitation of zero-day vulnerabilities, risky behavior leading to phishing attacks, and more. A self-learning AI based cyber security management system can become a powerful tool to solve many challenges like threat exposure and malicious activities, breach predictions, incident response and even IT inventory management.
While many organizations are powering their systems with AI and ML technologies, integrating them with various functions can pose multi-faceted challenges. Hence, this session is designed to clarify some of the common issues and challenges that are encountered when implementing AI in cybersecurity.

Combating Ransomware is Not a Spectator Sport
Michael Daniel
President & CEO
Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA)
Ransomware has evolved from an economic nuisance into a national security threat. Last spring, the Ransomware Task Force (RTF), a group of over 60 experts from a wide range of disciplines, released a report detailing nearly 50 actions that governments, the private sector, security providers, and non-governmental organizations should take to combat this threat. As the report’s comprehensive framework lays out, no organization is exempt from this threat and everyone has a role to play in fighting it. This talk will discuss why ransomware has become so pervasive, outline the RTF report’s key recommendations, and provide some concrete steps companies can take to join in this effort.
